1. Eligibility
Competitions are open only to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over. Entrants must have a valid UK postal address. Employees of Unit Eleven Ltd, their immediate family members, or anyone connected to the operation of a competition are not eligible to enter. Proof of identity and age may be required before a prize is awarded.
2. Legal Structure
Our competitions are operated as legal prize competitions in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005. They do not constitute a lottery, game of chance, or any other form of regulated gambling, and therefore do not require a licence from the UK Gambling Commission. Each competition includes a question or task that requires skill, knowledge, or judgment. Only correct entries are entered into the prize draw. A free entry route is also provided for each competition in accordance with UK law.
3. Entry Process
To enter a competition, participants must select the competition they wish to enter, answer the skill-based question correctly, select the number of entries, complete the checkout process, and confirm payment. Upon successful payment and correct answer, a unique ticket number will be generated for each valid entry. Entries must be received before the published closing date and time. Entries received after this point will not be counted and no refund will be issued.
4. Entry Limits
Each competition may impose a limit on the number of entries allowed per participant. This will be clearly stated on the competition page. Multiple accounts created to bypass entry limits will be disqualified at our discretion.
5. Prizes
The prize for each competition will be clearly described on the relevant competition page. No cash alternative is available unless stated otherwise. If the advertised prize becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with an alternative of equal or higher value. The winner is responsible for any associated costs, including but not limited to insurance, road tax, and registration where applicable.
6. Free Entry Route
Free postal entries must include your full name, postal address, date of birth, email address, contact telephone number, the name of the competition, and your answer to the competition question. Entries must be sent to: Unit Eleven Ltd – Competition Entry, Unit 11–12, Railway Street Industrial Estate, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1YQ. Free entries must be received before the closing date and are limited to one per household per competition. Illegible, incomplete, or bulk entries will be void.
7. Draw and Winner Selection
All valid, correct entries (paid and free) will be entered into a random draw once the competition closes. The draw will be conducted using a fair and independently verifiable method. The winner will be contacted via email or telephone within 48 hours of the draw. If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days or fails to claim the prize, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner.
8. Publicity
By entering a competition, you agree to allow us to use your name, image, and town or city of residence for promotional purposes if you are the winner. We may publish winner announcements on our website and social media platforms.
9. Refunds and Cancellation
Once an entry is confirmed, no refunds will be issued except where we cancel a competition. If a competition is cancelled, all entrants will be refunded in full using the original payment method.
10. Disqualification
We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant who provides false or misleading information, attempts to tamper with the entry process, breaches these Terms, or uses automated or unfair entry methods. Disqualified entries will not be eligible for refunds.
11. Limitation of Liability
Unit Eleven Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize. We do not accept responsibility for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, or affected by technical failure. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the website, including logos, images, and text, is the property of Unit Eleven Ltd. You may not reproduce, copy, or use any content without our prior written consent.
13. Data Protection
Personal data collected during the entry process will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). We will not share your data with third parties unless it is required for administration of the competition or by law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Meta Platform Policy Compliance
Where we promote competitions via Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, you acknowledge and agree that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms Inc. Any information you provide is being provided to Unit Eleven Ltd and not to Facebook or Instagram. You release Meta Platforms Inc. from any and all liability arising out of or in connection with this promotion. We will comply with Meta’s promotional guidelines and will not require users to share, tag, or engage in any activity that violates Meta’s community standards or advertising policies. Meta is not responsible for the operation of any competition and bears no liability relating to its conduct or outcome.
